ECTOR COUNTY DIRECT AIR CAPTURE AND CARBON STORAGE

Our first Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility is currently under construction in Ector County, TX. Once complete, this facility is expected to be the largest Direct Air Capture facility in the world. It is designed to capture 500,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year when fully operational and is expected to begin commercial operations in mid-2025.
WHAT IS DIRECT AIR CAPTURE?
DAC is the process of removing CO₂ directly from the atmosphere. 1PointFive uses Carbon Engineering’s technology to pull CO₂ out of the air. The captured CO₂ then goes through a series of processes for purification and compression before being injected deep underground.
STORING CO₂ WITH GEOLOGIC SEQUESTRATION
1PointFive plans to store CO₂ thousands of feet underground in geologic formations through geologic sequestration. This proven method of CO₂ storage has been used for decades.
